Non-Residential Training Period

From January 16 - April 17, 2012 The Victoria Zen Centre offers our members and associates a Non-Residential Training Period. I’d like to invite you to take part!

We have established many resources to support the development and maintenance of a strong Zen practice including formal practice opportunities, podcasting recorded Dharma talks, online meditation groups, and interview time via Skype.

The training period is structured in such a way as to connect all of these resources together to create an intensive community training opportunity that is accessible to anyone that wishes to participate, regardless of how long you have been practicing, or where on earth you may be.

There are four levels of commitment (T1-4) available, depending on how much you wish to commit to. If you are unsure, but wish to participate, please contact me to discuss options. Below is a chart outlining these four commitment levels and the expectations associated with each level. Also below is a document of notes and comments on each facet of the Training Period.

My hope is that this Training Period will offer you an opportunity to engage, intensify, and develop your Zen practice in the midst of your everyday life.

Non-Residential Training Period Fees:

  • Full-Member:Included in membership
  • Basic Member:$49
  • Associate:$99

  • Participation in Sunday Zendo requires completion of Orientation to Zen Buddhist Practice course.
  • Participation in Intensives requires completion of Intensive Preparation course.
