Zen Open House

Co-sponsored by University of Victoria Interfaith Services and the Victoria Zen Centre, the Zen Open House at the University of Victoria offers chanting, a Zen talk by Ven. Eshu, fifteen-minute periods of sitting, and walking meditation. Everyone is welcome, feel free to bring a friend. If you are new to Zen Practice please arrive fifteen to twenty minutes early for instruction.

Location: University of Victoria, Interfaith Chapel.
Date: Tuesday evenings from 7-8pm.

Please note, our Zen Open House is full most nights. To ensure that you have a cushion and place in the Zendo, please arrive by 6:45pm.

Walking meditation during the Beginners' Zen Group

 

Orientation Consultation

If you currently practice in another tradition and would like to begin practice at the Victoria Zen Centre, please call to arrange for an Orientation Consultation with Ven. Eshu. This is a two-hour formal meeting in which you will be familiarized with the form of practice, review your practice background, and discuss the expectations involved in practice at the Victoria Zen Centre. The cost is $100.

If you are visiting Victoria and are affiliated with an established centre, please contact the Victoria Zen Centre if you would like to join us for practice.

Private Instruction
